Kalin Scott

Kalin Scott is an experienced healthcare writer, consultant and advisor. As a former Medicaid policymaker for New York State, Kalin has extensive knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare policy, delivery system reform, health-related social needs, new care models and value-based payment. In her work, Kalin leverages her years of experience to support healthcare organizations that are focused on tackling healthcare’s biggest challenges, addressing barriers to quality care and creating healthier communities.

Kalin’s clients include providers, health tech companies, payers, state and federal agencies, national associations, consulting firms and healthcare marketing agencies throughout the United States. She works with her clients to expertly craft and implement industry-leading messaging and strategy, aligned with the latest developments in healthcare. 

Over her eight years with New York’s Medicaid program, Kalin served on the senior leadership team, responsible for nationally recognized policy development and implementation strategies to ensure alignment and execution of the Medicaid program’s key priorities. Kalin also served as a principal negotiator on New York’s Medicaid Redesign Team 1115 Waiver amendment, which resulted in an $8 billion federal investment to transform New York’s health care delivery system.
